Through community recommendation, jury initial evaluation, public voting, jury final assessment and notary public for two months, the first much publicized selection of the Top Ten Environmental Protection Figures of Dalian, held a grand ceremony at Dalian TV station on June 24. Prof. Zhang Huamin is awarded one of the first ten environmental figures Dalian, and Xia Deren Mayor presented the prizes personally for Prof. Zhang Huamin.

The event organized by the Propaganda Department of CPC Dalian Municipal Committee and Dalian Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Dalian Office of spiritual civilization construction, Dalian Radio and Television Bureau, and Dalian Daily, had been jointly carried out in Dalian.  The event theme is “moving in the ordinary and dedication in the spirit”, aiming at implementing the concept of scientific development better, building a harmonious society, and revitalizing the northeastern old industrial  to create a good human environment.
