CAS knowledge Innovation project of "high-power PEMFC engine and source of hydrogen technology" leading group meeting was held at DICP New energy laboratory in the April 5, 2004.

Team leader, vice President of CAS Jiang Mianheng, dalian Vice mayor Dai YuLin, President Wang Qingli of shenyang branch, the high technology research and development council chief Gui Wenzhuang, deputy director QinWei, related leaders of high technology and projects agency and other members of project leadership group and technology group members presented at the meeting. Main topic of this meeting is to coordinate the project implementation process to solve problems, to discuss the work plan of the next step, making better meet the general direction of international development, to seek ways to promote the faster development of the program to better meet the needs of the community. At the meeting, related researchers from DICP, Zhejiang University, IEE, and SIM gave reports on the overall work, the engine key component- the air compressor of vehicles, the DC-DC converter, the hydrogen source work progress, the existence question and the next step work plan of the project “the high efficiency PEMFC engine and the hydrogen source technology”. Leading experts participating in the meeting fully affirmed our achievements. They also had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the development direction of the project, how to speed up the integration with industry to reduce the cost of the battery , how to adjust the subject of indicators, personnel adjustments and the advantages and disadvantages of our technology compared to competing technologies at home and abroad.

Vice-President Jiang Mianheng concluded that it is not easy to achieve significant progress for the project. He pointed out that next we should aim at national scientific and technological innovation needs and make best use of existing resources to make new results in the case of unclear national energy and industrial policy, and weak national industrial . In his speech, he stressed the importance of engineering work, and recommended that we could promote the development of domestic engineering capabilities   through the project on the one hand , and cooperate with foreign countries to learn from foreign advanced experience on the other hand

Director Bao Xinhe, deputy director Zhang Tao and Huang Xiangyang attended the meeting. Director Bao thanks for the leaderships recognition of our work and valuable suggestions, and said that we would do further research in the project system to make new contributions.
