DICP- BoLong (Dalian) Co., Ltd. ‘energy storage flow battery joint R & D Center’ signing ceremony was held in the Biology Building Lecture Hall on December 25, 2006.

Director of high-tech office of Dalian Municipal Economic Commission Liwei Bin, deputy director Liu Jun, general manager of BoLong (Dalian) Co., Ltd. Liu Yanhui, deputy general manager of Hao Yue, senior engineer Cao Zuojiang , deputy director of DICP Huang Xiangyang, Prof. Ma Xiaojun and Zhang Huamin and some relevant personnels attended the signing ceremony.

Dalian Galaxy l Material Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of BoLong, is the only specialized company in China producing high-purity vanadium compound. It has advanced production line with high-purity, high mobility of vanadium compounds. The active material for VRFB is vanadium compounds solution. BoLong has high skills and wide experience in the preparation of raw materials and recycling of vanadium compounds.

To meet the national strategic needs, during the 10th Five-Year Plan period, DICP 303 group has successfully developed sodium polysulfide / bromine flow battery energy storage system which rated output power is 5kW and vanadium redox flow battery energy storage system prototype which rated output is 10kW. The system is on top of the nation and has reached the international advanced level.

The establishment of DICP - BoLong energy storage flow battery joint R & D center will completely perform advantage of the Institute and company each and increase innovation in the enterprise, as well as promote technology development and Industrialization for energy storage flow battery, contributing to revitalize the old industrial  of the Northeast.
