Recently, DALIAN RONGKE POWER (CO. Ltd), cooperated with Anshan Rongxin (CO. Ltd), won the bidding for Guodian Longyuan Electrical CO. Ltd. 5MW/10MWh storage battery system project, the world’s largest VFB storage project so far.

This energy storage system together with Woniu Stone wind power station in Faku county of Liaoning, will track the electricity generation to elimination the peak to the valley, then to stable the power plant output. DALIAN RONGKE POWER (CO. Ltd) was in charge of the VFB storage system, including the battery system designing, manufacturing and fitting. While Rongxin (CO. Ltd) was in charge of the bidirectional converter design and manufacturing.

The 5MW/10MWh storage system was modularized and assembled by 352KW unit stacks, while every 352KW unit stack was composed by sixteen 22KW stacks. That compacted storage system could function at high efficiency.

DALIAN RONGKE POWER (CO. Ltd) has long committed to VFB material development, components manufacturing, system integration, engineering construction and service. Under close cooperation with Professor Huamin Zhang’s team of DICP, RONGKE POWER has made great progress in VFB materials, key components and system integration, declared 63 items of national patent, 2 items of PCT patent.

RONGKE POWER (CO. Ltd) also paid high attention to standards developing and has participated in the EU VFB standards developing and led some parts at the invitation of EU standards committee.

This project contributes to VFB development and future commercialization of renewable energy.
